Helpful Information from Aviella Aloha "former Activities Concierge"

The Urban-n-Island experience is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Below are interesting facts that I have learned while living, doing business, and interacting with local businesses and local people. If you are a first time visitor to Maui or returning seeking another Urban-n-Island Adventure, or if you prefer to SAVE $$$ and have fun while you are here, call Aviella Aloha the Concierge for information on where to go for DISCOUNT activity OPTIONS.

I have been living on the island for over eleven years now. A unique thing about me is that I have already experienced 95% of all the activities available on the island of Maui first hand and i have got the pictures to prove it. If you have any questions about the island of Maui submit it below and I will see what we can find out for you. Have a blessed day!

How do you say the months of the year in Hawaiian language?

February - PEPELUALI

March - MALAKI

April - APELILA

May - MEI

June - LUNE

July - LULA

August - AUKAKE

September - KEPAKEMAPA

October - 'OKAKOPA

November - NOWEMAPA

December - KEKEMAPA

1. If you plan to do any grocery shopping on Maui take care to sign up for a Grocery Store Discount Card and Save 10% or more on all your purchases at SAFEWAY or FOODLAND.

2. Use the Maui Bus to get around the island. Pay $2.00 per person per ride or opt for a $4.00 ALL DAY PASS. Seniors can qualify for an additional discount on weekly and monthly passes. BE ADVISED: Monthly passes can only be purchased the first 5 days in each month.

3. If you are planning on going snorkeling or uptown Haleakala crater you will want to bring some sleeves. Haleakala is COLD when the sun is down, It peaks at 10,023 ft elevation. Depending on which snorkel trip you choose and get pretty chilly on the way to the snorkel site and even more so on the way back. Ask me about the best trips to Lanai and Molokini crater when we meet. I have lots of real time information for you.

4. This tip is often considered priceless based on guest feedback. iF YOU ARE PLANNING TO TAKE ON THE ROAD TO HANA you will want to do two things, First off, instead of making stops on the side of the road, drive all the way to Hana before you get out of the car. In doing so you will not only avoid traffic stressors but you will save so much time. The strategy is to make your stops on the wayback. This way every time you get back into the vehicle you will be a little bit closer to your place to stay and usually have better photo options and first dibs on the tasty BBQ booth that everybody loves. Definitely the best place to eat on the entire trip GUARANTEED! Oh the second thing is to bring bottled water and at least one roll of toilet paper..it helps!!!
